// Problem
A hostel this specific — sunsets, surf, a tiny village on a volcanic island — needed a website that felt like the place itself, not a generic travel-booking template. Every stock hostel site looks the same: a carousel, a booking button, and none of the actual character that makes someone want to go.
// Our Solution
A photography-led website built entirely around the hostel's own personality — the pink, the beach-town warmth, the specific island it sits on. A full-bleed hero photo and a hand-drawn wordmark open the site before a single word of copy is read. Every space the hostel actually offers gets its own card with real photography instead of a stock icon, so a guest can see exactly what they're booking.
// Design
Photography-First Layout
Every section is built around real photos of the property rather than illustrations or stock imagery — a full-bleed hero image, a masonry-style gallery of the surrounding island scenery, and a card-based "Explore the Place" layout where each space gets its own photos and description.
Brand-Led Color & Type
The hostel's signature pink anchors the palette, paired with a soft yellow used only for calls to action, against clean white space and a rounded, friendly sans-serif — warm without tipping into childish.
Voice Over Polish
Copy throughout — the crew bios, the FAQ answers, the section headings — reads like the actual people running the hostel wrote it: casual, funny, specific to island life.
Built to Browse, Not Just Book
Booking, WhatsApp, and Instagram are all one tap away, but the site's real estate is spent on the things that actually sell a stay — the rooms, the pool, the walk into town — with a nature-photo gallery and an events calendar giving a feel for life at the hostel.
